Q: WHAT MILK IS USED TO MAKE THE PUPPACHINO’S?

A: We use lactose free milk in all our puppuccino’s and frappe’s. Every puppuccino served is dog friendly. 

Q: I HAVE A LARGE DOG. CAN I STILL BRING THEM TO CANINE COMFORT?

A: We enjoy seeing all dogs big and small. If you’re in doubt of how you dog will behave you can come down Monday to Friday for your first visit as this is when we are quietest. 

Q: DOES YOUR ORGANIC OAKWOOD SHAMPOO REPELL FLEAS?

A: Yes. Our Oakwood shampoo contains natural bush ingredients such as Citronella, Eucalyptus and Tea Tree Oils. These natural Australian ingredients are known to have cleansing benefits and insect repelling qualities. 

Q: MY DOG SUFFERS ITCHING AND HOT SPOTS. WHAT PRODUCT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

A: I recommend you try our natural skin cream. It relieves itching, soothes hot spots, promotes rapid healing, kills germs and is drug and alcohol free. It is by far one of the highest selling lines that have produced the best results. 

Q: WHAT TREAT IS BEST FOR KEEPING TEETH CLEAN?

A: I have found with my dogs that a variety of hard chews work best. Treats like rawhide sticks, roo tails, charcoal bones and oralzyne chews. For smaller dogs, charcoal bones, rawhide shoes or sticks and greenies. 

Q: IF I BUY A DOG OUTFIT AND IT DOESN’T FIT, CAN I EXCHANGE IT?

A: Yes you can as long as it is in the same condition as when it left the store and is within 28 days. 

Q: ARE DOGS ALLOWED WITHIN THE STORE?

A: No. Dogs are not allowed inside the store because of council regulations for food establishments. We do however have outside tables and chairs for you and our four legged friends. On the weekend we also have a small puppy playpen set up for those that want a game. 

Q: I HAVE A LARGE DOG WHICH OFTEN KNOCKS OVER ITS WATER BOWL LEAVING IT WITH NOTHING IN THE HEAT OF THE DAY. WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

A: It’s a common problem faced by those with big dogs who know how important it is for dogs to have plenty of water every day. Our dough troughs are a concrete based product that keeps water cold and algae free and its almost impossible to knock over. 

Q: I HAVE A BIG DOG THAT I FIND REALLY HARD TO WALK BECAUSE HE IS SO STRONG AND IS HARD TO CONTROL WHEN HE GETS EXCITED. WHAT CAN I DO?

A: As an owner of two large dog myself, I know just how you feel! I fixed this issue by switching to a belly harness and lead rather than attaching the lead to their collar. This reduces the lunge potential of my dogs and gives me better control. It also stops dangerous “choking” that can happen when you try and pull back a dog just from the neck. 

Q: I HAVE A SMALL DOG THAT LOVES TO GO FOR A DRIVE. IS IT OK FOR HER TO SIT ON MY LAP SINCE SHE IS SO SMALL?

A: For their safety as well as yours it is important that dogs are properly restrained while in the car. After all, I’m sure that you wouldn’t drive without a seat belt and little dogs in particular can be seriously injured if a careless drives cuts you off or causes you to jump on the brakes. Dog car harnesses don’t work well with little dogs which is why we recommend a puppy booster seat. It’s gives your dog their own space to sleep in plus a sturdy outer rim they can lean up on to look out at the world along with a collar clip to keep them safe. Since it easily fits on the front passenger seat, you dog is nice and close to you to have a pat as you travel along.
